Collins Stewart London Boat Show 2008 onEdition - Boatshow http://www.w-w-i.com/london_boat_show_2008/index.php

The 2008 Collins Stewart London Boat Show was officially launched Friday at ExCeL by actor, writer and self-professed boat lover Griff Rhys Jones, along with boating legend Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, on the Main Stage. This is the second major Boat Show in London within two months - the Whyte & Mackay Boat Show was held at Earls Court just before Christmas. . . Good for the punters . . . good for the exhibitors?

Griff recently starred in the BBC programme Three Men in Another Boat, which saw him sail his beloved Udina around the South English Coast with celebrity friends, to race another classic yacht in the waters off the Isle of Wight.

Sir Robin is a world famous sailor with a world-class reputation, most notably as being the first man to circumnavigate singlehandedly around the world.

A fleet of luxury Sunseekers led by the £4M Sunseeker 90 arrive at the Thames Barrier, London ahead of the start of the 54th Collins Stewart London Boat Show.

Being the London's largest annual event, it hosts over 500 exhibitors and hopes to welcome over 140,000 visitors. The Show will see over 45 media briefings with World product launches, UK launches and a worldwide debut being announced on Press & Preview Day.

The Collins Stewart London Boat Show takes place from 11 - 20 January 2008 at ExCeL London. As always, the Show offers activities for everyone from thrill seekers to historians.

Andrew Williams, Managing Director of National Boat Shows comments:

'We are looking forward to welcoming some 140,000 visitors to the Show this year who will get to experience all that boating has to offer. The Show will play host to over 1000 different boats ranging in size from the smallest - Reid Marine's modest Starfish dinghy at 1.5metres - to the largest, the hugely impressive HMS Exeter Naval Destroyer.'

Well known faces from the sailing community including sailors Mike Golding OBE, Geoff Holt and current Raymarine Young Sailor of the Year Katie Miller will appear at the Show. HRH Princess Royal will be at the Show on Wednesday 16 January 2008.

A team of boat builders put the final polish to the fleet of multi-million pound motor boats on the luxury Sunseeker stand during the final preparations for the 2008 Collins Stewart London Boat Show at ExCeL.
