Organisers expect a big entry for the B&G / Simrad Two Handed Triple Series for 2009.

The three race series will get underway two months time, with the key dates being:

Race 1 Simrad 50 4th July 2009
Race 2 Simrad 60 1st August 2009
Race 3 Simrad 100 5th September 2009

With Race 1 in 2008 attracting over 170 entries the excitement is gathering for the 2009 Series, the three races over three months have proven to be an extremely popular format, with 18 divisions from the smaller Pied Pipers upwards.

The event is coordinated through SSANZ (Short Handed Sailing Association) and Marine Electronic Distributors Advance Trident Ltd through their brands Simrad and B&G have been the major sponsors for the past 11 years.

The Simrad B&G series has grown in popularity over 11 years, and is now a major feature on the Auckland Yachting Calendar, the attraction of Two Handed Sailing and the reduction in the length of the Races has proven to be a winning formula from the smaller Pied Pipers, Tracker, through to the Young 88, Farr 1020 and bigger Divisions.
