On day two of the Audi Melges 20 European Championship, due to a great inconsistency in wind direction, there was no racing.
At one point, the Race Committee made one attempt at Race Four of the series, however was forced to abandon the one and only start of the day. Therefore, Thursday's results remain firm for Friday with American Michael Kiss on Bacio in first, followed by Giancarlo Capolino on Legionario in second, and Marco Francini on Mezza Luna in third. Despite not being able to race, teams found ways to have fun in the afternoon. In particular, Audi Melges 20 owners and crews participated in Audi Day which involved entertaining games and challenges.
Racing is expected to resume tomorrow, Saturday where the Race Committee has plans for four races in an effort to make up for lost racing today.
Videos from the race course, photos and instant results are posted online at the Official Facebook Page of the Audi Melges 20 as they happen. Join the class online as the European Championship racing concludes!
The final event of the 2013 Audi Melges 20 Sailing Series is organized by B-Plan Sport&Events in full collaboration with the International Audi Melges 20 Class Association and Melges Europe.
