Arrivée de la Solitaire du Figaro - Roscoff ouvre les festivités

C'est le premier événement nautique d'envergure nationale de la saison en baie de Morlaix : les bateaux de la Solitaire du Figaro - Eric Bompard cachemire vont arriver demain dimanche et rester jusqu'au 20 juin dans le nouveau port de plaisance de Roscoff. L'inauguration du village de la course a donné ce matin le coup d'envoi des festivités qui vont rythmer l'escale.

Le village de la course a été inauguré ce matin par Jean-Paul Chapalain, président de la CCI de Morlaix, Pierre Bojic, directeur général de la société Pen Duick et Gwenegan Bui, conseiller régional. Il s'est installé au plus près des pontons du port de plaisance de Roscoff afin d'être aux premières loges pour l'arrivée des 40 Figaristes ce dimanche. ?Soutenue par la Région Bretagne, la CCI de Morlaix organise l'accueil de la Solitaire du Figaro-Eric Bompard cachemire. Elle affiche clairement sa volonté de faire du nouveau port de plaisance de Roscoff, le pôle nautique de référence sur la côte nord de la Bretagne.

Ouvert gratuitement au public jusqu'au mercredi 19 juin de 10h à 20h et le jeudi 20 juin de 10h à 18h, le village va être le théâtre de joyeuses animations. Les visiteurs pourront également en profiter pour faire des emplettes parmi les stands offrant articles et produits de la mer et du nautisme.

Entre le port de plaisance et le vieux port de Roscoff, de nombreux temps forts vont avoir lieu avec défilé du bagad de Morlaix, chants de marins, déambulations musicales … Ce soir à 22h45, un grand feu d'artifice et un concert gratuit ponctueront cette première journée de festivités.

Les enfants ne sont pas en reste et vont pouvoir s'immerger dans le quotidien des coureurs de la Solitaire en se mesurant sur une colonne de winch, un simulateur de voiles et un grand mât ! Le mercredi 19 juin va leur être spécialement dédié sur le village de la course avec déambulations musicales, sculptures de ballons et cabaret clownesque.

Enfin dès aujourd'hui et jusque mercredi, « Le journal de la Solitaire » va être l'un des moments forts de la soirée, sur la scène du village, à 18 h. Il permettra au public de revivre la course en présence des navigateurs et des organisateurs.

Toute la population de la baie de Morlaix, leurs familles et leurs amis, attendent Armel Le Cléac'h et Jérémie Beyou, enfants du pays et ambassadeurs du port de Roscoff. Vainqueurs à deux reprises de l'épreuve, ils ont plus que jamais cette année la volonté d'arriver en tête, pour la première fois dans leur jardin. Espérons que cette troisième étape leur porte chance à tous les deux. Réponse dans quelques heures dans le nouveau port de plaisance de Roscoff avec l'arrivée des premiers bateaux!

Jean-Paul Chapalain, président de la CCI de Morlaix : ' Nous sommes d'autant plus heureux d'accueillir cette course mythique que cette année le plateau sportif est exceptionnel avec six anciens vainqueurs et toutes les grandes figures du circuit. L'occasion pour nous d'attendre avec impatience l'arrivée de deux de nos ambassadeurs de la Baie de Morlaix : Jéremie Beyou et Armel Le Cleach. Armel a brillé lors de l'étape précédente, mais nous savons déjà que ces deux enfants du pays ont à cœur d'arriver en tête dans cette étape toute particulière pour eux. Comme Armel et Jéremie, nous sommes aussi ravis d'accueillir Gilles Le Baud sur ses terres natales. Rappelons que comme nos ambassadeurs il a gagné par 2 fois la Solitaire qui s'appelait alors la Course de l'Aurore .'

Pierre Bojic, directeur général de la société Pen Duick : ' Le nouveau port de Roscoff est une chance pour la région Bretagne. Sur un plan nautique, avec sa jetée, cette tribune naturelle est une vraie réussite. Pour Pen Duick, cette étape à Roscoff est en parfaite adéquation avec notre volonté d'aller vers de nouvelles destinations et d'offrir aux skippers d'aller à la rencontre de nouvelles populations même si pour certains d'entre eux, c'est un peu un retour à la maison .'

Gwenegan Bui, député et conseiller régional : ' La région Bretagne a souhaité accompagner la CCI de Morlaix dans la concrétisation de cet événement nautique à Roscoff pour le focus médiatique qu'apporte la Solitaire du Figaro et aussi pour l'émulation que l'épreuve peut générer chez les jeunes. Dans ce sens et depuis 2004, la région a instauré un dispostif pour soutenir les navigateurs bretons. L'un des premiers à en avoir bénéficié était Armel Le Cléac'h qui depuis a fait le chemin que l'on sait .'
