America's Cup - Emirates Team NZ goes to the market for shore crew

Emirates Team New Zealand is looking for enthusiastic staff to join their composite building team.

The 30 year old America's Cup team are building carbon composite parts for the team's America's Cup sailing yacht, and have positions available for entry-level or experienced boat builders.

As part of the team you will learn the many stages of the construction process of these state-of-the-art composite structures and gain skills in laminating, composite fabrication, tool preparation and fairing.

We would welcome applications from:

Experienced or apprentice boat builders
Sailmakers
People without relevant experience but who have a passion for working in the sailing industry.

To be considered for the role you must:

Be able to work accurately with your hands, be meticulous and strive for perfection
Work well in a team
Be prepared to learn - we will give you training on the job, but you need to apply yourself and put in the effort on site
Be reliable and punctual - and be flexible in working hours
Be prepared to work late - we will sometimes need to run night shifts
Be committed to working with the team from now until early 2017.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
