Visitors to this year's Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show in Auckland on May 13-16 will have the chance to win a huge selection of prizes including a $1000 kayak package every hour, a $7600 trip for two to Tonga and rides in one of the world's fastest jet boats!

A $1000 Viking kayak package will be drawn every hour from 12 noon until the show closes on each of the four days. Each package consists of a 3.2m Viking Nemo kayak, a De Luxe seat, a standard paddle and a Hutchwilco multi-fit buoyancy vest and has a total retail value of just under $1200!

Also up for grabs at this year's show will be a fabulous 8-day trip for two to Tonga, staying in the idyllic Hakula Lodge and fishing the magnificent tropical waters of stunning Vava'u.

These waters teem with all types of game fish including marlin, mahimahi, yellowfin tuna, sailfish, and giant trevally. The area is a real angler's El Dorado and the prize includes three days exclusive charter on MV Hakula with Captain Jeff Le Strange, one of the Tonga's top gamefishing skippers.

Also included are return airfares from Auckland to Vava'u, flying Pacific Blue and Chatham's Pacific, and 7 nights twin share accommodation on the waterfront at Hakula Lodge.

Those wanting an unparalleled blast of adrenaline will also get their chance: a money-can't buy, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sit alongside champion jet boater Mark Cromie in his 2000hp rocketship.

There will again be plenty to see and do, especially for those interested in fishing. NZ Sport Fishng will be hosting Hiwi the Kiwi and The Minstrel, as well as running several fun competitions for children throughout the show. The highly popular De Coro game fishing simulator will also be back, this time complemented by a smaller simulator so the kids can have a go, too.

There will also be a special 'haven' for female fishers, complete with Paula Trubshaw and Clare Power, Shewee's Jude Dentice, Ngaire Dalton from the Rockstars Fishing Club and other top female anglers. This special new area will also feature some of the latest products for female fishers and Fisherchick Starter Packs for those new to the sport.

The Hauraki Fishing Hall will again be home to more than $1 million dollars worth of fishing equipment, much of it on sale at special show-only prices. As an added bonus, those who buy a piece of new equipment in the Hauraki Fishing Hall will go in the draw to win a $1000 worth of Shimano fishing gear.

Other attractions include the impressive Com Sub, a completely refurbished working submarine; everyone's favourite seafood expert, Derek the Chef; a wide selection of special events and new competitions for the children and a host of new boats, engines, electronics and accessories, due to be unveiled for the first time at the 2010 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show.

The 2010 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show is on at Auckland's ASB Showgrounds from Thursday to Sunday, May 13-16. Admission is just $17 adults and children accompanied by an adult get in free (maximum of two children per adult).

More information about the show, its attractions and the great prizes to be won can be found at www.boatshow.co.nz where those interested can also pre-buy their tickets, register for regular updates about the show and go in the draw to win free show tickets.
