The final event of the 2014 Championship Tour, The Oman RC44 Cup, delivered another challenging sailing day for the fleet.
Consistency was hard to come by and no team managed to stay in the top half of the fleet in all three races. Chris Bake’s Team Aqua (GBR) was the most consistent team of the day picking up 11-points, Nika and Charisma both added 12-points to their overall score.
There were race wins for Torbjorn Tornqvist’s Artemis Racing with double Olympic gold medallist Iain Percy calling the shots, Nico Poon’s Charisma (MON) with Olympic gold medallist Tom Slingsby onboard and finally the Defending Champions, Team Aqua took the final race of the day.
On the overalls, Vladimir Prosikhin’s Team Nika (RUS) a have a five-point lead over Charisma (MON) in second, with Team Aqua moving up into third.
The final day of the RC44 Oman Cup supported by Mercedes Benz Oman and United Engineering Services (UMS) will get underway on Sunday 23th November, 11.30 GST, 07:30 GMT.
