With the closing date for the 2013 Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Export and Superyacht Awards applications a mere month away, the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) is beginning to receive applications and based on the level of interest received AIMEX anticipates a strong calibre of applications for 2013.

AIMEX organises the annual Awards providing a significant platform in which well deserved recognition is given to Australia’s marine export and superyacht industry achievers.

2013 marks the fifth year of the prestigious awards event and the 15th anniversary of AIMEX. It is anticipated that this year’s announcement at the Gala Dinner on Tuesday 21 May, during the ASMEX conference, immediately prior to the 25th Anniversary of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will provide an even greater level of global exposure to winners and applicants.

The 2013 judging panel will meet on April 23 to judge the applications and decide on the 2013 Winners. The panel participants includes five key industry identities; Barry Jenkins - a well known marine industry personality, Dugald Anthony – Austrade Trade Adviser, Ian Murray – Executive Director of the Export Council of Australia, John Savage - J.J.Savage & Sons and Ken Evans – previously Mercury Marine and currently working in the industry as a consultant.

Judging is conducted across eight categories including the Exporter of the Year and Superyacht Industry Business of the Year.

• Most Innovative Marine Industry Exported Product or Service
• Marine Industry Export Champion
• Best Marine Industry Export Performance in 2012 (Small, Medium and Large Categories)
• Best Marine Industry Export Marketing Strategy
• Australian Marine Industry Exporter of the Year
• Superyacht Industry Business of the Year – Service Provider
• Superyacht Industry Business of the Year – Manufacturer
• Superyacht Industry Champion

Sponsors of the 2013 Awards include naming rights sponsor Club Marine and supporting sponsor Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Applications are open to AIMEX, Superyacht Australia and BIA members. The 2013 Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Awards application forms and further information are available at www.aimex.asn.au.

Applications close on 1st April, 2013.
