11th Hour Racing announces a new Sailing Education and Stewardship Initiative, a unique grant opportunity for programs or projects designed to increase the personal investment in the health and protection of our waters within sailing education and racing.
Proposals are currently being solicited from non-profit organizations, schools or school districts, and youth programs. Strong consideration will be given to organizations using deliberate and effective approaches that actively engage youth, model best practices, and share successes broadly; and demonstrate awareness or knowledge of issues impacting local bodies of water.
'This is an outstanding opportunity for a diverse group of organizations to partner with 11th Hour Racing and develop innovative ways to integrate sailing education/racing with meaningful environmental stewardship.' said Jeremy Pochman, Director of 11th Hour Racing.
The 2013 deadline is March 15, 2013 and grants will be awarded in late May. For detailed information about eligibility, timeline and application please see attached document or contact Kate Neubauer, Program Manager at kate@11thhourracing.org.
