Racing on Day 2 of the NZ 18ft Skiff Nationals was cancelled today on the back of a weather forecast of winds averaging 25kts, gusting 35kts for the afternoon.

Grey skies in the morning gave way to a beautiful day in the afternoon, and some of the top crews went out for some practice ahead of the JJ Giltinan Series in Australia, next February.

Sail-World's NZ Editor shot these images from the base of North Head, and caught some great rides, at a distance.
