America's Cup: Young NZ sailors - opportunity to meet Jimmy Spithill

BMW Oracle Racing have advised that a special function will be held at the Special Function Room upstairs at the Voyager Maritime Museum, downtown Auckland, where young sailors can meet America's Cup winning skipper, Jimmy Spithill and get a free poster of USA-17 signed by the winning helmsman.
The America's Cup will also be on display at the event, which starts at 5.00pm on Thursday. ...

At the Auckland International Boat Show, Sail-World ran all the video we had of the 33rd America's Cup. One 20 minute section of the start of Race 1 was guaranteed to stop the crowds and pack them around the big screen.

The America's Cup trophy is returning to New Zealand, where it will be on display for public viewing during the Louis Vuitton Trophy regatta in Auckland.

Two legal actions initiated before the start of the 33rd America's Cup are still ongoing, despite the winning of the trophy by BMW Oracle Racing in mid-February. The Breach of Fiduciary Duty action leveled at the Defender, Societe Nautique de Geneve, and Alinghi team boss, Ernesto Bertarelli is due to have a response to the action lodged by the Challenger, Golden Gate Yacht Club by 8 March. ...
