Back with the rest of the fleet, the four boats in the Atlantic have sailed just 20nm off the west coast of the Falkland Islands between 0800 and 1300 UTC. They are also sailing in west-northwesterlies in a range of 19 to 23 knots.

Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing who took the lead early this morning, are just 8.8 nm ahead of Team Alvimedica. In the battle for third, MAPFRE has been able to keep distance from Team Brunel, who have reported damage to their J1 yesterday after rounding Cape Horn.
