Santander World 2014 Watch Laser Medal races live today

It has been a tough six days of racing for the 1,167 competitors from 81 nations at the Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships in Spain, with varying conditions across the courses. Sail-World have all the latest news from the water as well as highlight videos and images.

Today at day seven, we will see the first two Medal Races in the Laser and Radial classes, and the first two World Champions out of ten will be crowned today.




Races will be on the ‘Duna’ course for thousands of spectators to watch as well as live broadcasting to over 22 nations, you can follow the action on Sail-World today. (link below)

The Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championship is the first Olympic Qualification regatta for Rio 2016 with 50% of spots up for grabs across all ten events.

Twenty-three nations have secured a spot at Rio 2016 in the Laser and 19 for the Radial, the fight continues in the other eight Olympic classes for their 2016 spot.

Luna Rossa have been testing the old and new AC75 wingfoils as they wind down in Cagliari Luna Rossa sailed for the fourth successive day from Cagliari, Sardinia. A point of interest on Thursday was the relative performance of its two wing foils - one to the new AC75 Class Rule, the other a legacy foil used in the 2021 America's Cup.
