J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race 2011, held on the 25th June, is a 50 nautical mile course around the Isle of Wight.

It’s been two weeks since our Team Volvo for life sailors Paul Goodison, Nick Dempsey, Saskia Clark and Helena Lucas joined TV’s Denise Van Outen and Chris Parker to compete in the Round the Island Race.

Round the Island Race - First entry news
J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race organisers at the Island Sailing Club opened entries on 9th January The J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race organisers at the Island Sailing Club (ISC) opened entries on 9th January in tandem with publishing the Notice of Race in print and online. Entries are currently on target at 400 at the time of writing. This year's Race takes place on Saturday June 27th with a first start time scheduled for 0700.

Round the Island Race - 2012 is proving to be an exciting year for Grand Soleil. Round the Island Race - 2012 is proving to be an exciting year for Grand Soleil. Consistent racing results coupled with a new range of performance cruisers means that the long established Italian brand is attracting some real attention. Of the 22 Grand Soleils that entered the race, it was Noel and Richard Dobbs' team onboard Ariel of Cowes who collected the most sizeable amount of silverware.

Round the Island Race management team at the Island Sailing Club have reported four incidents. J.P. Families have been informed and the Island Sailing Club will provide updates as further information becomes available. A small multihull capsized North of Hamstead Ledge on the North-West of the Island.
