Igor Simcic’s Esimit Europa 2 (SLO) has won monohull line honours at the 2013 Rolex Fastnet Race.

Esimit Europa 2 arrived in Plymouth at 02:17.49 BST on Wednesday morning. She completed the 611-nm Rolex Fastnet Race in 60 hours, 27 minutes and 49 seconds.

The pan-European crew, skippered by Jochen Schümann, add Rolex Fastnet success to a glittering array of line honours victories including at the Giraglia Rolex Cup (2010, ’11, ‘12) and Rolex Middle Sea Race (2010, ’11, ’12).

The current Rolex Fastnet Race monohull race record remains the time set by the Ian Walker-skippered Abu Dhabi (UAE) in 2011: 42 hours, 39 minutes
