At the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show 2015 more than 170 exhibitors will be filling the halls of Alexandra Palace, London over the weekend of 28 February -01 March for the only show in the world dedicated to all things dinghy, in association with Yachts and Yachting.

From sailing clubs and class associations to commercial businesses and training centres, exhibitors will be showcasing the latest boats, gadgets, kit and dinghy essentials, as well as offering loads of free advice; everything you need to get started or improve your dinghy sailing, all under one roof.

If it’s kit you’re looking for then there’s plenty to choose from. We see the return of some show favourites including LDC Sailing (B70), Gull Watersport Ltd (C60) and Gill UK (B42). The show marks the UK launch of the Lennon Performance Products British designed competition wetsuits and base layers (B60) while Rooster Sailing (B66) showcase their new PROLite Aquafleece®. Mersea Trailers (D24) officially launch their new range of aluminium trolleys for combination trailers and Rain and Shine Ltd (A20) showcase for the first time their new range of extra deep covers to keep the suns UV off your dinghy. We could go on and on but come along to the show and see all the great new kit and gadgets on offer.

Many of the show’s exhibitors will also be celebrating at the show including headline sponsors Suzuki, who will also be celebrating their 50th anniversary at the show – more details on their celebration plans to be announced soon. Clamcleats Ltd (H28/30) also celebrate 50 years of rope cleats expertise, with the 4000 UK Class Association (B64) e celebrating its 20th anniversary and the Miracle Class (C52) celebrating their 40th anniversary. While over on the Challenger Class Association Stand (G18) there will be cake for their 35th anniversary celebrations and Salcombe Yacht Club (B17) celebrate a whopping 120 years of the Salcombe Yacht Club Henri Lloyd Regatta.

Looking for a new boat? As well as plenty of our dinghy favourites on display, there are also a whole host of brand new boats making an appearance at the show including the brand new Devoti-Zero, complete with all the racing refinements (stand G14). On stand C86 the 505 Class Association will be showcasing the new, out of the box, plug and play 505. New builders of the Devon Yawl will be exhibiting their first new boat, DY383 on the Devon Yawl Association stand, C32 and the Graduate Class will be exhibiting a brand new boat designed by Tim Harper. Finally the Good Wood Boat Company (B34) will showcase a new build National Redwing and the National 18’s will be holding a naming ceremony on their stand (B24) for the new Phil Morrison designed National 18 – Saturday 14.30; to mention just a few.

And don’t forget to pay a visit to the interactive BAR stand (F12) offering a taster of what will be on offer at the Visitor Centre at their new HQ when it opens in Portsmouth in July. On the stand you’ll find activities for all ages, with an energy and technology display that includes a power grinder and 3D printer, two of the exhibits the team are developing for the BAR visitor centre.

If you want to know more about sailing in your area or are looking for more information about the many sailing classes out there then the many clubs and classes exhibiting at the show will be able to provide you with all the information you need, from training courses and taster sessions to volunteering opportunities and social events.
