RYA Regional Youth Champion Award 2014 - Make your nomination. Paul Wyeth
The RYA is turning the spotlight on 2014’s most promising young sailors, windsurfers and powerboaters by opening nominations for the RYA Regional Youth Champion Awards.

These regional awards which were launched last year are a fantastic opportunity to recognise the outstanding achievement and performance of young people across the range of activities the RYA represents.

RYA Chief Executive Sarah Treseder said: 'We’re delighted to welcome nominations for the RYA Regional Youth Champion Awards which celebrate the talents of the many young sailors, windsurfers and powerboaters who are achieving amazing things across the UK'.

RYA Sport Development Manager Duncan Truswell added: 'To achieve in our sports takes commitment, application, responsibility and lots of determination. These awards are not only an ideal way to celebrate this hard work but to remind volunteers and parents about the great things that our sports offer young people and why their continued effort and support is so worthwhile.'

From the nominations received, each of the RYA’s 13 regional committees will select a regional winner.

All winners and their families will be invited to the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show (28 February-01 March) for the official awards ceremony.

Nominations will close on 12 January. Nominees must be under 19 years of age at 31st December 2014.

For more information and to make your nomination visit RYA.
