With six races completed at the RS:X North American Championships the Mexican team continue to lead.

Mexico's Demita Vega and David Mier continued with an impressive series of wins and their Olympic experience shone through.

Dominique Vallee (CAN), Vega's nearest rival could not keep up with the Mexican who used her local experience and had to settle with the runner up position in all three races.

Vega takes a five point lead into the next three races which makes Vallee's job tough on the last day.

In the men's competition Mier took advantage of his experience and used the strong current of six knots on the left upwind side and won two out of three races.

He might have won another one, if he didn't have his watch broken just before the first race. He had a bad start but managed to move up the ranks. He lost the race by less than one meter after his compatriot, Mauricio Martinez, took advantage of Mier's fatigue.

Mexico will take all three places on the men's podium if Matias Canseco Bazo from Peru cannot break the four point lead of Isaías Minor (MEX) in third Event ISAF website
