Over the weekend of 17-18 May 2014, a whopping 24,000 people ‘pushed the boat out’ and you can be part of it too in 2015.

RYA Push the Boat Out 2015 will take place over nine days from 09 to 17 May providing even more ‘have a go’ taster sessions across the UK for you to experience sailing and windsurfing.

'Push the Boat Out was a huge success last year, one of our biggest and best yet and it was fantastic to see so many clubs and centres taking part with record breaking numbers of people getting out on the water' said RYA Club Support Advisor Jackie Bennetts.

'Following this success we wanted to ensure that next year’s event would offer more events and opportunities for people to discover their local sailing providers so we have extended Push the Boat Out to take place over nine days instead of just one weekend'.

RYA Push the Boat Out is all about people connecting with their local sailing club or provider and discovering how easy it is to get involved in the sport.

In 2014 17,000 people went out on the water with sailing clubs gaining more than 1,000 personal memberships. More than 500 families became members of the clubs they visited.

RYA Push the Boat Out 2015 will take place from 09- 17 May. Put the date in your diary and visit RYA for more updates, news and information on how to get involved.
