Open 2.4mR World Championships - Stellan takes over the lead

Three races were completed today at the Open 2.4mR World Championships, with winds at eight to ten knots from the east with lumpy seas.

Reigning 2013 World Champion Stellan Berlin of Sweden posted a one – four - three to take the lead, with 2012 Paralympic gold medalist Helena Lucas (GBR) seven points back in second, and Bjørnar Erikstad (NOR) six points further back in third.

Canadian Allan Leibel sits in fifth and Paul Tingley in eighth. With eight races now completed, the championship for the 35-boat fleet concludes tomorrow.
