Racing at the NSW Tasar Championships 2011 Phil Thompson
Victorians are dominating the top ten after day 1 at the 35th NSW Tasar State Championships.

Three races were sailed yesterday in a shifty and puffy nor'easter of up to twenty knots. All competitors had a great day with tight racing, and even a dead heat in one of the races.

Graham Baxendale and Darryl Bentley on 2484 lead from start to finish in race one, as did Gwen and Derek Warne on 2823 in race two.

Paul and Bronwyn Ridgway on 2871, current regatta leaders took race three. Alistair Murray and Darren Edgar are in second, Graham Baxendale and Darryl Bentley are in third, Jeremey and David Elmslie are in fourth and Heather MacFarlane and Chris Payne are in fifth.

Four out of the current top five, and six in the current top ten are Victorians.

There are potentially six races remaining in the series, with racing concluding on Sunday.

29er UK National Championships - Light winds on Day 4
29er UK National Championships 2012 - Ian Payne and Chris Berry are on the cusp of title success On the 29er UK National Championships penultimate day of racing, at Restronguet Sailing Club, Ian Payne and Chris Berry are on the cusp of title success having established a seven point gap to Tom Methven and Rob Lloyd. This gap could be pretty tenuous though as tomorrow still has three races planned and with a beast of a forecast the line between success and failure is wafer thin.
