The ‘Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image 2014’ competition is proving more popular than ever. In just under a month, no less than 50,000 people have visited the event website and viewed 380,000 pages, whilst more than 28,000 people have already voted for their favorite photograph. The social networks have been hugely successful too, with uncountable mentions, ‘shares’ and ‘likes’.

The ‘Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image’ competition aims to pay tribute to yacht racing photographers’ work, to provide them with a promotional platform and to promote the sport of sailing to a wider audience.

The ‘Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image’ award ceremony will take place during the World Yacht Racing Forum, held this year in Barcelona, Spain, on December 10-11.

Two prizes will be awarded:

• The ‘Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image’, judged by an international jury that includes leading figures from the world of sailing and marine photography.

• The Mirabaud Public Award, selected first by the public, who can vote online to preselect the top twenty images, and then the participants of the World Yacht Racing Forum.

The winners of both categories will be awarded a prestigious ‘Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image’ trophy and prizes offered by Zenith Watches and Nespresso.
