Just before midnight on 7 January, the max trimaran Banque Populaire V (Loick Peyron) crossed the finish line off the French coast to trim 2 days and 18 hours off the previous mark

The word around the waterfront, is that they will be sailing for just two weeks, before packing up and heading for Barcelona where the serious workup will begin.
