ISAF Youth Worlds - Playing the waiting game on day 3

On day three of the 2014 ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship, the 367 sailors from 67 nations are playing the waiting game in Tavira.

As of 12:00 local time the on-water breeze was light with conditions not playing ball for racing to commence.

After a 21:00 local time finish the day prior the morning rest could be seen as a nice respite but the sailors will be frustrated nonetheless as they wait for wind.

A south west breeze is expected to build from 13:00 onwards but whether it materialises is another issue with several local members of Clube Nautico de Tavira unsure which way it will play.

As it stands the leading sailors have cemented themselves at the top of the pack with those towards the lower end of fleet setting personal goals and standards to achieve. The third day will be another challenging racing day for all competitors.

Enjoy some highlights from the second day of racing below.
