Breaking news from Audi Hamilton Island Race Week 2012 - Sean Langman’s ORMA 60 Team Australia, while racing has just run aground on the edge of the Fitzallan Passage. She is taking a little water, heading back to the marina now. Not too serious it seems, the boat is now back on its mooring and the crew seem quite relaxed.

The bang asshe hit was not as loud, to be sure, as when Sean's skiff on steroids hit the reef off Plum Pudding Islet in the Coral Sea Race many years ago.

Yesterday a thick blanket of fog delayed the Hammo action but today there was fog early. It disappeared in time for racing. Now there is just moist air, with low cloud. It’s been from 170 at 10 knots, but now it’s going easterly and lighter.

And our detailed coverage will continue.

Most of the Australian SB20 fleet contesting Audi Hamilton Island Race Week will be back in December to pit their skills against the world’s best at the UON SB20 World Championships. from Dec 13 to 21st when a fleet of about sixty of the one design boats is expected.

SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week 2012 is these days a must do regatta. The first race in the series is just a week away and the first round of entries close today. Late entries will be accepted. www.magneticislandraceweek.com.au If you can’t be there this year, mark your calendar for 2013.

The America's Cup World Series San Francisco continued Thursday with the home team, Oracle Team USA, putting on a show for their fans. The US team with Australian James Spithill and New Zealand’s Russell Coutt’s skippering took the top two spots in the first race and lead the fleet racing standings at the AC World Series San Francisco at the end of the day two.

Day 4 at the 2012 Zhik Nautica Moth World Championships on Lake Garda, Italy. Australian Scott Babbage is dominating the 125 boat Moth fleet. Behind him there is a three-way tie for second place between Joshua McKnight (AUS), Bora Gulari (USA) and Anthony Kotoun (BVI).

Plenty more news and have a great weekend, the final day of Audi Hamilton Island Race Week looks like it’s going to be a cracker.

We will have a glass of Robert Oatley Shiraz for you!! Tonight and tomorrow night.

Yes I know, it is very noble of us….

Its just what we do!!!
