Flying 15
Flying 15 National Championships at Parkstone YC - day 1.

Great sea sailing in Poole bay in sunshine and a glorious 3-5 breeze meant the Nationals started in style.

Revelling in these conditions Mike Hart won the first race after establishing a comfortable lead. In the second race Chris Gorringe was fisrt around the windward mark but was overhauled by Steve Goacher on the second reach and it was Steve who went on to win despite being chased by Mike Hart.

Provisional placings after 2 races are:

1st - Mike Hart and Richard Rigg
2nd - Dave McKee and Chris Hewkin
3rd - Russell Peters and Tim Hall
4th - Steve Goacher and Phil Evans
5th - Mark Longstaff and Simon Thompson
6th - Greg Wells and Mark Darling
