The 51st annual Federation Week is set to take place from Monday 11th through to Friday 15th August. There will be racing for 400 boats in beautiful Chichester harbour at the top of the tide. The regatta is quite simply one of the great family racing weeks in the UK and is a 'must do' event.
Organised by Chichester Harbour Federation in conjunction with Hayling Island Sailing Club, the racing is tailored to suit everyone from Opi’s to foiling Moths and takes place on the top of the tide in the beautiful Chichester Harbour, a venue with a great reputation for providing excellent racing conditions and is renowned for its summer sea breezes. Entertainment is provided each evening around the harbour clubs with the famous Fed’ Week disco on the Thursday night at HISC.
Races for the three courses will be run each afternoon either side of high tide giving plenty of time for relaxing on the sandy beaches, tinkering on your boat or just recovering from the previous night’s party!
Additional events are also scheduled, one specifically for youths. These events will be held close to the clubhouse and will be fun and rewarding for those wishing to compete and at the same time provide entertainment for those enjoying after racing refreshment on HISC’s famous balcony!
