Extreme Sailing Series™ organisers OC Sport and Sunset+Vine, the UK independent TV sports production and media company, part of the Tinopolis Group, have together confirmed two new broadcast deals for the Extreme Sailing Series™. Bloomberg EMENA, the European, Middle Eastern and Northern African arm of the international leading business and financial markets broadcaster, and LeTV, one of the largest digital platforms in China, will now air the eight part official TV series.

In a further development, event organisers OC Sport, has extended Sunset+Vine’s contract to be media and distribution partner into 2016.

Andrew Preece, Managing Director at Sunset+Vine APP, commented:
“These new broadcast deals with Bloomberg and LeTV demonstrate the on-going success of our partnership with OC Sport, organisers of the Extreme Sailing Series, to create a truly compelling sailing product. For a third year running the Extreme Sailing Series reinforces its position as the most widely distributed annual sailing TV series in the world.”

Available in 77 territories across Europe and the Middle East, Bloomberg EMENA covers many key territories for the Series and its partners, which include Series Main Partner Land Rover. LeTV Sports, one of China’s fastest growing internet companies, has been accumulating a burgeoning portfolio of rights to premium sports properties. The platform will not only broadcast the official TV series, but has also been airing live coverage of each of the global Acts, following a successful collaboration with the Series at Act 3 Qingdao, earlier in the year.

Andy Tourell, Extreme Sailing Series™ Project Director, added;
“The new deals further boosts the Extreme Sailing Series global reach with 50 broadcasters now signed up to air the official eight-part TV series. With Bloomberg EMENA and LeTV joining the likes of CNBC (Asia and Europe), Fox Sports, Universal Sports, OSN and BT Sport, the Extreme Sailing Series is a truly globally consumed sporting product.”

As well as being able to follow the Extreme Sailing Series on TV channels around the world, fans will be able to watch online, free of charge. Each episode of the TV series as well as live streaming of all races will be available through the official YouTube channel.

The next stop on the global tour, the penultimate event of 2015, is Istanbul, Turkey. The event takes place between the first-fourth October with live coverage from October second.
