At the 2013 Extreme Sailing Series, the SAP Extreme Sailing Team finished racing in Singapore today having secured their first podium finish. Despite the slow start in Marina Bay, with little or no wind for the first few races, the Danish led team stepped up and fought hard to achieve third place overall at the end of Act 2.

Speaking after the prize giving today, Co-skipper and Tactician, Rasmus Kostner said: 'Securing a podium position today is a major milestone for us and this is a fantastic win for the SAP Extreme Sailing Team. We knew that the conditions would be tough here in Singapore and the whole team stepped up to fight really hard to climb the leader board. We have a unique team with a great dynamic and the communication on-board was spot on throughout this Act. Our commitment and focus more than ever is to keep pushing harder and we are delighted to be on the podium at the end of racing today.'

Determination to stay in the game spurred the SAP Extreme Sailing Team on to claim podium finishes in three of the six races on the final day of Act 2. The double points bonus on the last race of the day saw them finishing just two points shy of their closest race rivals, Red Bull Sailing Team.
