The RYA Youth National Match Racing Championships 2014 take place at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy on the 30-31 August 2014, and sailors wishing to compete are asked to submit their entries now to secure their place at this year’s event.

The regatta will be sailed in the RYA’s fleet of Elliott 6m former Olympic class keelboats and is a crucial event for any sailors wishing to reach the series grand final held at Queen Mary Sailing Club form the 14-16 November.

The RYA National Match Racing Series consists of seven qualifying rounds between January and November before the top British crews from each event are invited to go head-to-head for the chance to be crowned RYA National Match Racing Champion.

Places are also still available at the Ceilidh Cup (4-5 October), offering sailors one final chance to qualify for the series grand finale.

National Match Racing is a sailor’s first step towards elite match racing events such as the America's Cup and the ISAF World Match Racing Tour and the forthcoming Championships are seen as pinnacle events if sailors want to reach the Series Grand Final.
