Byte CII lifts in profile in North America

US Sailing, the National Governing Body of the sport, have announced that they have come to terms on a multi-year sponsorship deal with Zim Sailing, a North American manufacturer of one-design sailboats. Zim is an official sponsor for several major US Sailing events, including four National Championships and US Sailing’s National Sailing Programs Symposium (NSPS).

'We are excited about building a new partnership with Zim Sailing, who has demonstrated a strong commitment to youth sailing,' said US Sailing Executive Director Jack Gierhart. 'Boat manufacturers have long been valuable partners for US Sailing in growing youth sailing and delivering world class championships. We are excited to be working with Zim, a new partner who brings an equal passion for growing sailing and helping deliver the best events possible. We look forward to introducing new equipment at our events that will keep sailing exciting and moving forward.'

Beginning this summer, Zim will be providing Byte CII sailboats to the U.S. Singlehanded Championships and Chubb U.S. Junior Championships. .

'We are thrilled to have competitors from US Sailing National Championships racing in our boats,' said Zim President Steve Perry. 'The Byte CII is growing in popularity around the world and I’m sure these sailors will enjoy the experience. This is an exciting opportunity for Zim and US Sailing and we are looking forward to watching these talented sailors race.'

The Byte CII utilizes a modern rig, providing a perfect blend of performance and stability.

Zim will be an official sponsor of US Sailing’s National Sailing Programs Symposium, the premier event for sailing education in the United States. Zim will be conducting boat demonstrations on site at NSPS venues. The 2013 NSPS will be held on January 23-26 at the Clearwater Beach Marriott Suites on Sand Key in Clearwater, Fla.
