Solos at South Staffs
9 locals joined by 13 visitors for Allen Solo Midland Series round 2
South Staffs SC welcomed visitors from across the region for round 2 of the Allen Solo Midland Series. Nine local boats were joined by thirteen visitors from as far as Northampton, Budworth, and Ogston making up a healthy turnout of 22 boats.

470 Europeans at Cannes Day 1
Japan's Keiju Okada and Miho Yoshioka take the early lead
Three races were held on the first day of the International 470 Class European Championship in Cannes, France. The day started off with very light winds, slowly building as clouds built over the race course. All in all, three races were held.

Albacore Inlands at Bartley
Visitors travelled from as far as Scaling Dam in the north-east and Lyme Regis in the south-west
On 5th and 6th May, Bartley Sailing Club in south-west Birmingham hosted the Albacore class Inland Championship. Visitors travelled from as far as Scaling Dam in the north-east and Lyme Regis in the south-west.

First ever Championship to be held at Queen Mary SC
Entries are live for the first ever UK Women's Keelboat Team Racing Championship. The inaugural event will be co-organised and hosted by the Royal Thames Yacht Club at London's Queen Mary Reservoir over the weekend of 15-16 June 2024.

Notts County SC Scorpion Open
Silver Scorpion Travellers Series
Saturday dawned at Notts County Sailing Club for the start of the Scorpion Open, part of the Silver Scorpion Travellers Series. With 26 competing boats, the usual Scorpion pre-start stories started to unfurl upon arrival, all worthy of Pecker nominations.

Challenger Travellers at Castle Semple
Launched on Saturday more in the hope than expectation of racing
Seven Challengers raced at Castle Semple SC during the weekend 4-5 May. Chi Chian Wu was kindly loaned one of the Challengers based at Castle Semple SC and Lynn Steward of Wigan and St Helens SC borrowed a Sailability Scotland boat.

2024 Queen Mary Sailing Club Championships
An impressive turnout of 26 ILCAs in the 41 boat fleet
Unusually for Queen Mary, the forecast proved highly accurate for Sunday's racing as a gentle 5-6 knots arrived at 10.30am and built steadily thereafter - in force if not in direction - for the 3-race club championship.

It has taken just one hour for the 8.2m section of the Foiling Week WASZP 8.2m fleet to sell out! This is the second major event that has sold out in the space of months. The International WASZP Games in Norway also sold out in the space of 48 hours.
