RYA Club of the Year Paul Wyeth
The RYA Club of the Year Award is aimed at recognising and promoting the outstanding achievements of the amazing array of people who work together to create vibrant clubs across the UK and keep our sports alive.

Launched in 2007, the award which is supported by Arthur J. Gallagher looks for clubs who are successful at:

• Encouraging people to get on the water
• Providing a range of quality and safe activities for all
• Attracting new club members and volunteers
• Engaging with the local community, particularly young people
• Demonstrating good governance and club management

RYA Club Support Advisor Jackie Bennetts explains: 'Being part of RYA Club of the Year is a real opportunity to get your club on the map. We know there are some excellent clubs out there who are doing a fantastic job of engaging and inspiring people.

'Every year the feedback we get from clubs who enter the award is that it really focusses their minds on what they do well and, arguably more importantly, what they could do better to keep improving.'

Expressions of Interest for the 2015 RYA Club of the Year are now invited. Clubs are asked to briefly summarise their achievements over the past three years and outline why they believe their club should be chosen as RYA Club of the Year 2015.

Jackie continues: 'Up to ten shortlisted clubs will then be invited to make a full application giving more detail about key aspects of club activity, recent successes or achievements and how they plan to continue to develop the club over the coming years.'

Expressions of interest must be submitted by the closing date Monday 10 November. All the information you need to apply can be found here.
