Bob is certainly the top writer on the America's Cup and is in San Francisco, CA, USA for the sixth round of the America's Cup World Series and he is writing for Sail-World on the upcoming series.

Don’t miss his reports on Sail-World – today he writes on Day Z minus One.

The 12 and 24 hour races were was sailed under a full moon and this is set to continue in the years ahead with the move of the race to November, moving each year to Saturday night closest to the full moon. At the same time the race is amalgamating with the Royal Motor Yacht Club’s 30 mile race, part of the combined Lake Macquarie Club point score series.

The Yachting Australia awards this year will be the biggest ever, just look at the Male Sailor of the Year nominations - Australia’s three London 2012 Olympic Games gold medal winning crews go up against each other for the award.
