Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week Ladies Day is being held on Thursday 16th August 2012. Plans are shaping up for this year's Ladies Day!

There are a variety of fun and celebratory activities taking place this year in support of Ladies Day; our celebration of women in sailing.

On-the-spot prizes will be awarded straight after racing finishes to female sailors that our RIB spies, courtesy of Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare and Champagne Lanson.

Female shoppers will enjoy a great 10% discount on all Gill purchases in the Aquatogs store in Cowes as well as at the Gill retail unit at Cowes Yacht Haven.

The BOSS Watches daily lucky dip will focus on the Ladies Collection at their units on Cowes Yacht Haven and on Cowes Parade.

A special pre-bookable Ladies Day lunch will be held at Northwood House, including canapés and drinks on the lawn at noon.

A special Ladies Day racing packed lunch, courtesy of The Food Hamper, will be available to order. Pop into The Food Hamper on Cowes High Street or call: 01983 295680.

The Food Hamper are also offering a 'cream tea in a box'- perfect for enjoying while spectating on The Green.
In the early evening, a special reception will be held for invited guests at The Talisker Boathouse, Cowes Yacht Haven at which the winner of the 2012 Ladies Day Trophy will be announced. This trophy recognises the outstanding contribution, commitment, or achievement of women in sailing and nominations for this award will be accepted until midnight on Friday 10th August so there's still time to submit AAM Cowes Week website
