2015 ISAF Sailing World Cup- Melbourne Jeff Crow
Entries are now open for all Olympic Classes via the ISAF website for the 2015 ISAF SWC – Melbourne Regatta. Unlike past years where the event has controlled the entry process, this year the ISAF Sailing World Cup – Melbourne (ISAF SWC- Melb) entries are managed directly by ISAF.

Invitations have now been sent out to the Top 30 boats in each of the ISAF SWC classes (based on current ISAF Rankings). The ISAF SWC – Melb have quotas of a maximum of 40 entries per class, however it is likely that in Melbourne only the Laser and Laser Radial classes will exceed this quota. For all other classes that have not exceeded the quota and for those who were not given a direct invite by ISAF a ‘Request for an Invitation’ is now available online. ISAF will then contact you directly to inform you if your entry is successful or not.

Round One - Entry Invitations (from ISAF) will go out to the top 30 ranked sailors in each class and also to National Member Associations to secure their entry (and also to take advantage of a spot on the ISAF shipping solution ('the bus').

Round Two - Today, the October 8th, entries for ISAF SWC - Melbourne open to anyone for the remaining spots not taken in round one on a 'first come first served' basis until the quota of 40 is reached. ISAF will contact you directly to inform you if your entry is successful or not. Please click here if you wish to enter for the ISAF SWC - Melbourne.

Along with the new ISAF entry system for the Olympic Classes, the ISAF SWC – Melbourne is also an Oceanic Continental Qualifying Regatta. After the recent Pacific Games and Emerging Nations Program clinic, event organisers expect to see representation from such countries as PNG, Fiji and the Cook Islands. This provides athletes in these Oceanic countries their last chance to qualify for Rio 2016.
