2015 Glandore Classic Regatta launch

The CH Marine Glandore Classic Regatta 2015 was launched in the headquarters of Heineken Ireland on Tuesday evening 5th May.

The regatta this year will run from July 18th to 24th. Registration and official opening takes place on Saturday 18th. The parade of sail takes place in the harbour on Sunday 19th. This is a spectacular sight when viewed from the village square with views of the fleet out to Adam Island. About eighty boats are expected to take part.

Racing continues through the week with grand prize giving on Friday evening. There will also be events for Oar and Sail type boats.

The highlight of this year’s event will be the visit of the OGA boats as part of their West Cork Cruise in Company. This cruise has been organised by the OGA President Sean Walsh.

There will be a full programme of social events, the highlight being Jimmy Crowley in concert.
