Photographer Thierry Martinez presents these images of today's start in La Rochelle of the 2010 Mini Pavois ( Mini 6.50) being sailed from La Rochelle (France) to Gijon (Spain) and return.

41 mini's (single handed boats) lined up on the start line.

A powerful new design for the mini class made it's debut today. N°747 'MAGNUM' Davis Raison (BEL) was sailing for the first time and was impressive until a rudder problem forced him to stop. The new design is very powerful and if the design proves to be fast, it could change the the mini class in the future, according to our correspondent.
