Welcome to this week's edition of Sail-World.com's UK newsletter.

The big news this week is Izzy Hamilton's success, winning the RS:X Youth World Championship title. Well done Izzy!
Congratulations also to the team from Southampton Solent University, who have just been crowned winners at the Student Yachting World Cup in La Rochelle, France.

The Route du Rhum is underway with 85 skippers leaving Saint Malo, the skippers in the Velux 5 Oceans race continue to battle the elements and Tony Bullimore's 33m cat capsized off Cape Finistere.
