On 3 May, sports eyewear specialist zerorh+ will present the HKRNVR Memorial Vase, a beautiful piece of silverware gifted in memory of the Royal Volunteer Naval Reserve, whose volunteer sailors used to patrol Hong Kong waters in bygone times.

Organised by the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, the Deed of Gift for the HKRNVR Memorial Vase stipulates that the pursuit race must take the fleet out of the confines of Victoria Harbour and the Race Officer, Gareth Williams, will consider the breeze and tide before setting a course of approximately 10nm which takes the fleet out through Lei Yue Mun Gap to the east of Hong Kong.
The zerorh+ Top Dog Trophy Series pulls together the results from RHKYC’s quartet of pursuit races, pro-rated to a base entry of 50 boats, in order to identify Hong Kong’s top helm for the season’s series.
Going into the HKRNVR Memorial Vase, the top ten ‘Top Dog’ contenders for 2013-2014 are:
|1||3 x 11||Etchells||787||Jimmy Farquhar||11.845|
