Leg 3 Week 2 – The Indian Ocean Drag Strip
Let’s start this week’s report with an important statistic. The lead hasn’t changed for the past seven days – held by Dongfeng Race Team throughout – and they have only gybed once in all that time. So if you’re expecting a blow-by-blow account of a stressful and delicately balanced tactical and strategic battle… sorry. Maybe next week. Sailing in a straight line has its own tensions though, and not all of them derive from the opposition – check out this account of a snake that got fouled up with Team Brunel.
