Team Tilt remporte la seule régate du dernier jour de la Youth AC

Alors que l’équipage suisse a brillé lors de la septième manche de la Red Bull Youth America’s Cup en la remportant haut la main, la huitième - et dernière - manche a été annulée à cause du vent trop fort, excédant la limite fixée à 18 noeuds. Une décision frustrante pour Team Tilt qui comptait sur cette dernière manche, comptant double, pour accéder au podium.

Les navigateurs suisses terminent quatrièmes au classement général, à deux points seulement du deuxième. Après une journée décevante hier, ils ont su se reprendre et mener la manche du jour du début à la fin : 'Nous nous sommes bien préparés en vue de cette dernière journée, et l’avons abordé sans pression,' confiait le skipper Lucien Cujean quelques secondes après leur victoire. 'Nous avons réussi notre départ et avons réussi à garder notre avance durant toute la course.'


La Red Bull Youth America’s Cup est remportée par les néozélandais soutenus par le challenger de l’America’s Cup, Emirates Team New Zealand.

America's Cup Defender christened "Taihoro"
