Sydney International Boat Show begins, 10am Thursday 28 July

The Sydney International Boat Show, the largest boat show in the southern hemisphere, will open today at 10 am Thursday 28 July.

Boasting more than 28,000msq of undercover exhibits, plus a specially built marina that hosts more than 200 large vessels, more than 70,000 visitors are expected during the five days of the show.

To celebrate the opening of the show, at 7.12 am, a 61 feet, 3100 horsepower and 30,500 kilograms of Riviera luxury will tow 15 water-skiers from Rose Bay past Rushcutters Bay before turning in front of the Sydney Opera House for the return trip to Rose Bay.
