Swan European Regatta 2011 overall

The Swan 45 Class - Swan European Regatta 2011
Kurt Arrigo/ Nautor's Swan
Swan European Regatta 2011 took place in the UK at Cowes, Isle of Wight from 9th to 15th July. This year the event attracted 46 Swan yacht entries from eight nations across four separate classes.

The regatta came to an end last week after a fantastic week of racing in the beautiful setting of the Solent. The weather conditions could not have been any better with the Race Committee delivery superb courses daily. Classes A, B and C completed 8 races and the Swan 45 Class sailed 11.

Enrico Chieffi, Managing Director, Nautor’s Swan:

‘It is always a pleasure to return to the Royal Yacht Squadron and race in the Solent with the Swan fleet. We have a wonderful mix of Swans from Swan 36, hull number 3 the third ever built, through to the Indian Swan 53, Raika, which was launched in Finland only six weeks ago. Racing in all classes was astonishingly close for this year’s Swan European Regatta and in fact all the four classes were decided on the final race.

Congratulations to all the winners, Nautor’s Swan now looks forward to returning to Cowes in two years time.’
