Superyachts arriving in the South Pacific are excited by Australia’s second annual Aussie networking event to be held at Marina Taina on 27 June.

Invitations to the networking and information event will be extended to all superyacht captains, owners and crew who will be in the South Pacific over this period.

This exclusive opportunity to network and promote Australia’s unique surroundings has attracted a high level of Australian industry support with a strong contingent of the Australian superyacht sector traveling to Tahiti once again to showcase their capability at the event.

Australia’s key regional superyacht clusters will also be present. These include Marine WA, NSW Superyacht Industry Association and Superyachts Queensland. These three clusters represent the key regions of interest to superyachts wanting to cruise in Australian waters.

They provide quality information regarding the capabilities of their region in terms of refits, repairs, agents, interior design & furnishing, marinas, suppliers and well planned cruising itinerary’s to satisfy owners and captains requirements when planning this exciting journey.

Superyacht Australia CEO MaryAnne Edwards commented 'Tahiti is seen as the gateway into the South Pacific and is a unique cruising destination for the global superyacht fleet. What we are seeing is that the superyachts cruise or charter in this area and then head to Australia for their routine maintenance and refit requirements. Australia has a reputation second to none for quality work, meeting budgets and delivering on time. We have the expertise, capability and reputation for delivering on owners and captain’s requirements.

'This event was such a success last year we have made it an annual event to show our support for the Captains and crews who will be in the South Pacific at this time. We see this event as an excellent way to ensure the superyachts in the South Pacific are fully informed about Australia’s excellent cruising grounds, iconic events and high quality facilities for superyachts.

'We also want to have fun and the feedback from captains and crew at last year’s event, especially the cooking competition, was amazing. Great prizes are on offer including a trip for two sponsored by Air Tahiti and Rivergate Marina & Shipyard will be ensuring there is plenty of good Australian wine to go round.'

All activities will be held on the Marina Taina on Friday 27 June, the day will commence with Information Sessions (9.30-11.30am) followed by the second annual Crew Barbeque Competition from 4-5pm and the day will conclude with the Australian industry hosting an Australian themed networking event.

Australian companies participating in the event are, Superyacht Australia, the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX), AWL Grip, BSE Maritime Solutions, City of Melbourne, Carter Marine Agencies, Marine Engineering Consultants, MTU Detroit Diesel, Cairns Marlin Marina, Rivergate Marina and Shipyard, Superyacht Solutions, South Port Yacht Club, Sydney City Marine, Boatstyle, Muir Winches, Gold Coast City Marine Precinct, Marine WA, Superyacht Queensland and NSW Superyacht Industry Association
