2014 Gold Coast International Marine Expo - Visitors to this year’s Gold Coast International Marine Expo, 17 to 19 October, will be able to see how a 2.7 tonne hydraulic boat lift works to keep their boats high and dry, and buy one in time for summer!
Major sponsor of the Expo for the past four years, Superior will occupy its regular position at the top of the marina gangway with an array of products on display including the Capri pontoon, heavy duty Stand Up Paddleboard (SUPs) ideal for the beginner or rental market, and most impressive of all, the Superior Sunstream FloatLift for boats and jetski docks.
John Hogan, CEO of Superior says visitors young and old will be fascinated by this cool working display, mounted on land so all its working parts are visible.
'You will be able to actually see how the hydraulics work to remove your boat for storage out of the water using the unsinkable, floating boat lift that has a capacity of 2.7 tonnes.'
Ideal for 25 to 27-foot bowriders and half cabins, the Sunstream FloatLift is the fastest on the market, lifting your boat in 30 seconds and getting it back on the water in just 18 seconds.
The Sunstream FloatLift is designed for fresh or salt water, with an aluminium frame, stainless steel hardware, marine grade hydraulic cylinders with stainless shafts, and marine grade hoses. The rubber-capped SuperBunks are not only durable, but provide the ultimate in cushioned support for your hull.
They are truly a technical marvel, and any wonder, when you realise that its inventor, Ken Hey, created leading aircraft patents for Boeing in Seattle USA. After this career he was looking for a sturdy, stable floating boat lift and when he couldn’t find one, he developed his own in the form of the Sunstream FloatLift, available in Australia through Superior.
'The best thing about a Sunstream FloatLift is the peace of mind owners enjoy when they have their boats out of water,' explains Hogan. 'Sunstream works on a hydraulic system, rather than air. The floats are filled with foam, not air, so they remain buoyant at all times. It cannot sink. It’s ingenious!'
And with only weeks to go before summer, you can get your own Sunstream FloatLift in time for boating season, and beat the 2015 pricing following the fall in the Aussie dollar. 'We have seven in stock for sale during the show at the Expo special price of $19,990 inc GST and Gold Coast delivery,' says Hogan.
Also on display at this year’s event is the R2 model of Superior SUPs which will be on sale for the special show price $549 inc GST.
