Round Antigua Race
If you haven’t already done so, now is the time to submit your online entry for the Round Antigua Race to be held on Saturday, April 25. This optional race is scored separately for the week of racing and is a great opportunity for you and your crew to get in some serious practice and perhaps even attempt to break the course record. It’s a fun day with its own prize giving to be held in Nelson’s Dockyard following the race as part of the Official Welcome Party for Antigua Sailing Week. Trophies will be awarded for best elapsed time around the island and best corrected time overall, as well as second and third place overall and first, second and third place in each class. It’s a great event not to be missed. To submit your online entry go to website. If you have already entered Antigua Sailing Week, log-in using your email address and the password you created for your entry. If you haven’t already entered Antigua Sailing Week, use your email address and create a log-in password. The race is open to all boats, whether or not entered in Antigua Sailing Week.

Don't forget your crew waivers
Antigua Sailing Week’s NOR 3.7 requires all crew complete a Crew Waiver this year. If you and/or your crew have not yet completed the waiver form, please do so well in advance of Antigua Sailing Week to avoid a last-minute scramble. The Crew Waiver can be completed online and is found here. Please let us know if you have any questions concerning the Waiver.

Course and race officer update 2015
Antigua Sailing Week is excited to have added nine new courses to the course selection from the Windward Beach start line for this year in an effort to provide an even greater variety of course options depending on wind direction. These new courses will provide an even better combination of both windward/leeward and reaching courses options for every class.

We’re pleased to announce that we have a new Race Officer for Committee Boat B this year. International Race Officer John Coveney has joined the Antigua Sailing Week team. A UK national but based in France, John is fluent in French and has assisted us in translating Notices of Race and Sailing Instructions into French. He will also be able to assist French speaking competitors on the water and on the shore. We are working closely with the French Caribbean islands to increase cross-participation in regional sailing events and look forward to increased participation from our French neighbours this year.

Royal Southern Yacht Club challenge
Just a reminder that Antigua Sailing Week 2015 will feature the inaugural Royal Southern Yacht Club Inter-Yacht Club Challenge. The Royal Southern Yacht Club of Hamble, UK has issued a challenge to all participating boats that comply with the rules to represent their local yacht club in a challenge for a beautiful trophy donated by the Royal Southern Yacht Club and, of course, for all the prestige that goes with winning such a Challenge. There is no cost associated with this Challenge and all entries that comply with the rules are encouraged to participate. More information about the Challenge and full Rules can be found here
Enter the Challenge now – email roc@sailingweek.com with details of which yacht club you would like to represent.
