State MP Jann Stuckey to raise a giant flag to mark the start of Expo

State MP Jann Stuckey will officially raise the Expo’s massive six metre by five metre flag to mark the official opening of the second annual Gold Coast International Marine Expo at a special opening ceremony on November 2nd.

The officially ceremony will begin at 10.30am with a drum routine performed by the St Stephen’s College drum band as guests and dignitaries gather in the marquee for the official proceedings.

Gold Coast International Marine Expo president Stephen Milne and vice president Dean Leigh-Smith will begin the proceedings by officially welcoming Ms Stuckey to the Expo. After Ms Stuckey’s address, the St Stephen’s drum band and naval cadets will lead the dignitaries and guests in a march procession to the nearby flagpole where Ms Stuckey will raise the giant Expo flag and declare the second annual Gold Coast International Marine Expo open.


What: Official opening of the 2012 Gold Coast International Marine Expo
When: Friday, November 2 from 10:15am

10:30am – Assembly on stage at the main Expo event arena for the formal welcome of the Minister followed by a speech from Ms Stuckey to formally announce the Expo is open, and a performance by the St Stephen’s drum line band and march procession by the Navel cadets.

11am – The official flag raising event to mark the opening of the Expo.

Photo Opportunity: Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games, Jann Stuckey, will officially open the 2012 Gold Coast International Marine Expo with the symbolic flag raising ceremony.
