Spectacular action at the Multihull Regatta + Video

Voodoo nosedive at LCMR2012 Julie Geldard
There was no shortage of wind providing plenty of thrills and spills in the APC Logistics 2012 Lock Crowther Multihull Regatta held over the October Long Weekend in Pittwater and Broken Bay, north of Sydney. Voodoo Spirit had a close encounter in the run up Pittwater as she dug her bows in to 50° – and survived unlike other recent incidents. Other boats dug bows and flew hulls providing great footage for the LCMR 2012 Video.

Tight Racing saw Linda Renouf take out the PHS and OMR double, with Indian Chief taking Line Honours. One offshore and four inshore races were sailed over three days in mostly fresh winds: a windy offshore race with gusts approaching 30 knots; and a tactical Lion Island race that died, changed direction 180° and then built to 20 knots.
