Skandia Geelong Week, Louis Vuitton PS, Speed & Smarts

by The Sail-World Team on 27 Jan 2009
Skandia Geelong Week - A giant fleet, some great sailing, good winds. The highlights for Sail-World was watching Nathan Outteridge win the Moth Nationals, the big fleet start heading from Williamtown to Geelong and Living Doll winning the IRC Division 1. We have all the results, lots of great pix and all the stories; we’ve only posted a few below but you will find more over the last 5-6 pages of SailWorld.

[Sorry, this content could not be displayed] Skandia Geelong Week is a must do regatta. If you did not get there in 2009, start planning now for 2010.

While a whole raft of media are planning to fly to Auckland for the final days of the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series, Sail-World’s Richard Gladwell has already been working closely with the teams and event and is providing the most detailed coverage, and will do so for the whole series.

Don’t wait to read about this event in March or April, stay with Sail-World for the blow by blow coverage.

We’ve been reading Dave Dellenbaugh’s Speed and Smarts newsletter for 15 years. Last year we started working with Dave to provide a Speed & Smarts PDF newsletter version, using some new Sail-World technology.

If you are a racing sailor you need to subscribe to the PDF version now!

Dave will be a regular Sail-World contributor so you will be able to get a glimpse of his Speed & Smarts style – read the recent one below.

We have had a lot of entries in the Burke online competition, if you’ve not entered yet, do it NOW!!

Sydney Hobart – Will they? Won't they?
Huey loves to shake things up, so here is some Maths to ponder whilst he makes up his mind... Now at just after 1110hrs AEDT on December 28, 2025, the leaders are just South of a place called Friendly Beaches. SHK Scallywag still leads, but now Master Lock Comanche is in second, with LawConnect in third.
